If you are fed up with the "my way or the highway" attitude of the big tech social media platforms who will sell your data to advertisers so that you get more "personalized (read invasive) ads", there are MANY alternatives. While alternative platforms MAY not give you the same kind of experience you are accustomed to, these platforms will not infringe on your privacy and freedom of speech. That's a trade off but you can easily get used to the experience.
